So I decided to check out Merriweather cafe and I'm so happy that I did! It's cute, cosy and on the corner.  Serving breakfast and brunch, Merriweather is located in South Brisbane and aims to become as sustainable as possible.  Oh, and they do a yummy chai latte too!

Merriweather supports the local food group, Food Connect.  Food products often travel vast distances before reaching supermarket shelves.  However, Food Connect aims to reduce this environmental impact by sourcing ecological and organic food produce from local farmers, and supplying it to cafes and restaurants all over Brisbane.

Merriweather also sells KeepCups and have started their own rooftop garden.  The garden consists of worm farms, hot composting turners and herb and vegetable plantings.  Groovy!
